Photovoltaic bracket materials and requirements

The photovoltaic mounting structure must be strong and reliable, able to withstand atmospheric erosion, wind loads and other external effects. It should have safe and reliable installation, can achieve maximum use effect with minimum installation cost, be almost maintenance-free, and have reliable repair. A good bracket needs to consider the following factors:
(1) The strength of the material must withstand climatic factors for at least thirty years.
(2) It will not be affected by extremely severe weather such as blizzards or typhoons.
(3) The bracket needs to be designed with grooved rails to place wires and prevent electric shock.
(4) Electrical equipment needs to be installed in a location that is not exposed to the environment and facilitates regular maintenance.
(5) It must be easy to install.
(6) The cost must be reasonable.
A high-quality bracket system must verify its design using computer software that simulates extreme severe weather conditions, and undergo rigorous mechanical property testing, such as tensile strength and yield strength, to ensure the durability of the product.

At present, the solar photovoltaic brackets commonly used in our country are divided into three main types in terms of materials: concrete brackets, steel brackets and aluminum alloy brackets.
Concrete supports are mainly used in large-scale photovoltaic power stations. Due to their heavy weight, they can only be placed in the wild and in areas with good foundations. However, they are highly stable and can support large-sized panels.
Aluminum alloy brackets are generally used in solar applications on rooftops of civil buildings. Aluminum alloys are corrosion-resistant, lightweight, beautiful and durable, but their self-bearing capacity is low and cannot be used in solar power station projects. In addition, the price of aluminum alloy is slightly higher than that of hot-dip galvanized steel.

Steel brackets have stable performance, mature manufacturing technology, high bearing capacity and easy installation. They are widely used in civil and industrial solar photovoltaic and solar power stations. Among them, the section steels are all produced in factories with uniform specifications, stable performance, excellent anti-corrosion performance and beautiful appearance. It is worth mentioning that the on-site installation of the combined steel bracket system only requires the use of specially designed connectors to assemble the channel steel. The construction speed is fast and no welding is required, thus ensuring the integrity of the anti-corrosion layer. The disadvantage of this product is that the connector process is complex, there are many types, and it requires high manufacturing and design requirements, so it is expensive.
